Demographic Generations Summary

The Lost Generation 1883-1900 – the generation of young people who reached 21 during and shortly after World War I.
The Greatest Generation 1901-1924 – the generation which served in World War II. This group overlaps with the G.I. Generation, the generation that fought and won World War II
The Silent Generation 1925-1942 – the generation born between the two World Wars – too young to join the services. Many had fathers who served in World War I.
