Setting up an Interview
Initial questions to ask yourself:
• Are there HR rules governing how interviews are conducted e.g. how may interviewers can interview a person at one time?
• Who will interview?
• Does a candidate have to be interviewed by more than one department?
• How much time is available for each interview – one whole day, 2 x half days etc?
• How many interviews per session? If all interviews are to be on one day, it is reasonable to only schedule a maximum of 6 interviews and that would mean a very heavy day for interviewers. Interviewing is very hard work.
